Upon our first visit to the area in the summer of 2005, we were drawn to the beauty and charm of this quaint Eastern Shore town. Our dream of owning a B&B far exceeded our expectations. We love meeting so many interesting people, many of whom came as guests and left as friends.

We are also thankful for being a part of this community. We are touched by how the small businesses look out for each other to help support each other’s dreams. We are proud to be involved in the community’s efforts to find a balance between progress and preservation of this “crown jewel” of the Chesapeake. We enjoy the impromptu “porch parties” with our neighbors eating fresh steamed Maryland crabs. We love that we can walk to the marina, the post office, the library, the downtown shops, and three of our favorite restaurants. We look forward to seeing if Jody can retain his title of Cambridge’s watermelon eating champion at the next Taste of Cambridge! And we get a kick every time someone recognizes our dachshund Frankie from having his picture in the local paper, just for being cute!
